The town of Saverne is situated in the heart of the lush area known as Alsace Bossue, on the edge of the Parc Naturel des Vosges du Nord nature park and within easy reach of many tourist sites.
Saverne, a historic city and cradle of centuries of culture, centuries that have left their mark on the town. You will be delighted by its medieval past, its Romanesque church, cloister and remarkable old houses. The town nestles in a site of outstanding beauty, at the foot of mountains topped by numerous castles and ruins.
All the town's amenities can easily be reached on foot: restaurants, shops, pavement cafés, cinema. Saverne is also a town where there is always something going on - don't miss its charming Christmas market (especially the outdoor skating rink right opposite the Loges du Château), but also its farmers' markets which take place on the Place du Château every Thursday morning, the famous carnival parade in March, and all kinds of street entertainments and activities for all the family during the summer season (giant table football, concerts, open-air film projections…)
